Family friendly
enjoy relaxed time together and the joy of shared experiences
Wigglesworth House and Cottages have gone that extra mile into ensuring that Gamekeepers Cottage is both child and baby friendly, so that your whole family can relax and enjoy a unique holiday together, surrounded by the glorious North Yorkshire countryside our location has to offer. We love helping families get out and explore with their little ones, so we can offer advice, recommendations and let you know about the best days out and places to visit for babies and toddlers too.
Baby Friendly Pack
As parents ourselves we remember all too well the stress of loading the car with all the extra items you need for baby on holiday. Let us help take the hassle away and create more room for the things you may need!
We can provide the following items for the duration of your stay, at no extra charge (we just request you let us know in advance).
- Baby bath and non slip bath mat.
- Plastic bowls, plates & cutlery.
- Changing mat, potty or trainer look seat.
- Sink step.
- Night light & baby cot (inc. bed linen).
- Highchair and stairgate.
Please Note
We no longer provide plug socket covers as they are deemed DANGEROUS. See www.fatallyflawed.org.uk for further details.
Safe and Relaxed
Gamekeepers Cottage offers a safe and relaxed environment for child and baby friendly North Yorkshire holidays that the whole family can enjoy.
With enclosed and secure gardens, Bug Hotels and Log Piles (to encourage wildlife into them), Gamekeepers holiday cottage provides nature books that children can draw in and tell us all about themselves. Overlooking a large field, children just love splashing about in the puddles in, running around, or just watching the sheep and their lambs (during lambing season).
For those rainy days and evenings indoors, we have a variety of books for all age groups and various games & puzzles.
Meet Nettle & Nando
We love having little assistants to help us collect eggs and feed the Hens, Geese and the Nigerian Dwarf Goats, Nettle & Nando…
Take a little look…
